Frequently Asked Questions
We are delighted to have visitors in our services and we want you to feel like an honored guest when you come. Here
are a few common questions and answers about visiting Calvary Baptist Church that will help you enjoy your visit

Where Do I Go?
When Is Your Morning Service?
Our morning worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. and lasts approximately one hour. If you would like to go to morning Bible Study, it starts at 9:30 a.m. and is held in the building behind the auditorium. You may park in the rear, north parking lot off of walcott street and enter through the side door. There is coffee and donuts just inside that door, and more importantly, people who will greet you and get you to the appropriate class.
How Are You Dealing With CoVid-19
We encourage mask wearing and social distancing. We also suggest a verbal greeting or a "fist bump" instead of the traditional handshake. We will do everything in our power to keep you safe.
What Type Of Music Service Is It?
Many refer to our service as "blended". We have a time of congregational song praise consisting of hymns and contemporary praise songs, led by the Music Minister and Praise Team. The Praise Team consists of singers, piano, organ and electric bass, all done conservatively and in a reverent manner.
Am I Expected To Give An Offering?
Absolutely not! Our guest are never expected to give an offering, but you may if you wish. What we do want you to do is have the visitor card ready so that we may have a record of your visit. You will find this card attached to your bulletin. Simply drop it in the plate when it is passed.
What Should I Wear?
When you arrive at Calvary Baptist you will see attire ranging from Jeans and T- Shirts to "Sunday Best". We just ask that you dress in a modest and reverent fashion. At Calvary, we aren't worried about what you are wearing when you visit, just that you visit.
What Does Calvary Offer For Children?
Calvary has a very focus program for children, led by Children's Minister Deborah Greer. We have a Nursery for children to age 3, Children's Church every 1st and 3rd Sundays for children 4-8 years of age and Wednesday night WOW (We Offer Worship) from 6:00 to 8:35 pm. Please contact Deborah Greer at 940-686-2274 for more information.
